Job Description:
- Rheumatology office at Dallas Presbyterian is looking for an EXPERIENCED medical transcriptionist to work in a two physician office. Hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. No weekends. Must have at least 3 years transcription experience in a medical practice setting. Rheumatology preferred but not a deal breaker. Must also have the following
- skills:
- Familiarity with various practice manager software, Medical manager a plus Medical terminology, CPT/ICD-9, HIPAA, Medical Record Management using paper charts. In office personnel only will be considered. Be familiar and have had used Windows based Office software and various operating systems. Must type 50-80 wpm. A typing test will be done. Answering numerous phones calls and has had dealings with contacting other medical offices

Education Requirements:
- High School degree
Experience Requirements:
- Good computer knowledge, typing skill and language skills.Also well versed in medical terminology, laboratory terms, surgical terms, procedures, and abbreviations.
